Membership Changes

In January 2025, we officially rolled out our updated membership model, designed to provide simplicity, consistency, and flexibility for our members while ensuring the long-term sustainability of Kev’s Class. Members who joined after October 2024 started with this new model.

We understand that change can raise questions, and we’ve received feedback from families who may not have seen the detailed email sent in November 2024. If you’re unsure about the updates, we’re here to help clarify.

Closure Weeks and Flexible Cancellations

As part of the new model, we’ve implemented eight accounted-for weeks each year:

-Six planned closure weeks, which align with most school holidays while still continuing sessions in the summer.

-Two flexible cancellation weeks, allowing families to plan time off that suits them.

These weeks are built into the new pricing structure, so there’s no need to adjust fees based on holiday periods.

Missed Sessions and Make-Up Credits

We recognise that families may occasionally miss sessions outside of these eight accounted-for weeks.

To accommodate this:

-Make-up credits are available for any additional missed sessions, subject to availability.

-Credits can be used to attend alternative sessions within the same calendar month, ensuring flexibility for unexpected absences.

This policy ensures that you won’t lose out on sessions while maintaining fairness and balance across all members.

Summer Freeze Option

We understand that some families may take extended holidays during the summer months. To provide added flexibility:

-Memberships can be frozen for up to two full calendar months each year.

-Freezing can only be applied for full calendar months

This option ensures you have the freedom to take a break without losing your place at Kev’s Class.

Support and Resources

To help everyone navigate these changes, we’ve created this dedicated page:

Why the Changes Were Made

The consistent monthly fee simplifies budgeting by spreading the annual cost evenly across 12 months, regardless of how many sessions occur in a given month. While the changes include a small price increase to reflect rising operational costs and the impact of 20% VAT, we’ve made every effort to keep this increase minimal while continuing to deliver the high-quality services you expect.
